Local churches are organizing a series of community events throughout December to foster fellowship and engage residents during the holiday season. These events aim to provide a space for families and individuals to connect and celebrate together in a welcoming environment.
The primary event will take place on December 20, 2025, at St. Mary’s Church, featuring a holiday concert starting at 6 PM. The concert will showcase local musicians and include a candlelight service. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a community potluck beforehand, encouraging attendees to bring a dish to share.
Several local churches, including First Presbyterian Church and Grace Community Church, are collaborating on these events. Each church will host its own activities, such as toy drives and volunteer opportunities for local charities.
This initiative follows a successful series of events last year, which attracted large numbers and strengthened community ties. Organizers say that the gatherings are essential for creating a sense of belonging, especially during the holiday season.
Residents can join the events by simply showing up. For more information, residents are encouraged to visit the websites of the participating churches or check their social media pages for updates.
